Company Requirements

To be able to apply for this financing line, your company must meet the following requirements

• Be a company, regardless of its legal form or size, as well as self-employed individuals who have employees under their supervision. Public entities are eligible provided they are not included in the Public Administration Training Agreements.
• Make contributions for Vocational Training under the General Social Security System. Domestic workers are excluded because they do not make contributions for vocational training or unemployment insurance. Self-employed individuals without employees are not eligible for tax credits for their own training (pending specific regulations).
• No minimum length of service is required. Newly established companies are eligible for a credit calculated using a specific formula (see “Amounts”).
• Must have workplaces within the country.
• There are no sector-specific restrictions.
• The size of the workforce only determines the credit percentage and the co-financing requirement.
• Mandatory private co-financing is required for workforces of more than 5 employees, based on a percentage of the training cost.

Limits

The following limits apply to this financing line

• Recurrence restrictions: Not applicable. This is an annual and recurring entitlement: the company generates a new credit each fiscal year based on its Vocational Training contribution from the previous year. Having used the credit in previous fiscal years does not prevent a company from accessing the credit for the current fiscal year.
• Limit on available credit: The amount of the training credit allocated to each company serves as the maximum limit on the tax credits applicable for the fiscal year.
