Company Requirements
To be able to apply for this financing line, your company must meet the following requirements
- Be an SME:
- Fewer than 250 employees.
- Annual revenue not exceeding 50 million euros or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euros.
- Headcount and financial figures are calculated by adding those of the group’s associated and/or affiliated companies.
- Have its registered office and/or tax domicile in the municipality of Madrid and also conduct business within the municipal boundaries of the city of Madrid.
- The facility where the subsidized activity is carried out must be registered for census purposes in the city of Madrid and must coincide with the location of the investment. This is verified by the Certificate of Registration in the Economic Activities Census issued by the AEAT, which must confirm the registration of that production facility and the activity giving rise to the grant.
- The subsidy percentage depends on the size of the company: micro-enterprise (fewer than 10 employees), small (10 to 49), or medium (50 to 249). To calculate the workforce, the “report on the average number of registered employees” for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, for the company and its group is used, including the sole proprietor and individual partners with a 25% or greater stake (or less if they are listed as directors for corporate tax purposes).
- Not be part of the public sector, as defined in Article 3 of Law 9/2017 on Public Sector Contracts.
- The following are not eligible:
- Economic interest groups, temporary joint ventures, and unincorporated partnerships.
- Associations, foundations, and nonprofit organizations.
- Entities without their own legal personality.
- Branches of foreign companies located in Spain.
- Entities whose parent company, shareholders, or affiliated subsidiaries are domiciled in tax havens (Royal Decree 1080/1991) or in non-cooperative jurisdictions (Order HFP/115/2023).
