Company Requirements
To be able to apply for this financing line, your company must meet the following requirements
- Be a legal entity that simultaneously meets the definition of a startup (emerging company) set forth in Article 3 of Law 28/2022, including technology-based companies established under Law 14/2011:
- Be a newly established company or have been in existence for no more than 5 years since the registration of the public deed of incorporation in the Commercial Registry or the relevant Cooperative Registry (7 years in biotechnology, energy, industrial, and other strategic sectors, or if it develops its own technology designed entirely in Spain).
- Not have been formed as a result of a merger, spin-off, or transformation (including consolidation and segregation) of companies that are not considered startups.
- Not distribute or have distributed dividends (or returns, in the case of cooperatives).
- Not be listed on a regulated market.
- Have its registered office, corporate address, or permanent establishment in Spain.
- Have 60% of its workforce employed under labor contracts in Spain (in cooperatives, working members and working partners with a corporate relationship are counted for these purposes).
- Be developing an innovative entrepreneurial project with a scalable business model.
- Be a Galician startup or have a place of business in Galicia.
- Additionally, demonstrate that at least one of the following conditions is met at the time of applying for the grant:
- Hold the ENISA certification provided for in Law 28/2022 (possession of a valid certification also fulfills all the above requirements).
- Demonstrate that it has been designated a Technology-Based Employment Initiative (EIBT) by the Xunta de Galicia.
- Have participated in a accelerator program for initiatives with public participation by the Xunta de Galicia (Viagalicia, BFAuto, BFAero, BFFood, BFClimatech, Turislab, Galicia Avanza).
- Provide proof, via a certificate from the parent institution, that the company is a spin-off of a university, vocational training center, or technology center.
- Be registered in the Ministry of Science and Innovation’s Register of Innovative SMEs.
- Hold EA 0047:2015 certification (innovative SME) or EA 0043:2015 certification (young innovative company).
- Hold the EIBT mark for technology-based innovative companies granted by ANCES.
- If the company belongs to a group of companies (Article 42 of the Commercial Code), the group or each of its member companies must meet all of the above requirements.
